What is UPS Mail Innovations?

UPS Mail Innovations (UPS MI) has been a National Account of the United States Postal Service (USPS) business partner segment since 1997.  Through this work-share partnership, UPS MI provides global mail services.  (NOTE - in the above diagram, Customer = Sprue Brothers Models LLC)

The program works like this:
Sprue Brothers delivers your order to UPS MI, then UPS MI processes (sorts) and transports your mail to the USPS (or your country's post office if destination is an international address) for final delivery to you.

Then:
The USPS (or foreign post office) accepts your mail piece from UPS MI and makes the final delivery to your mailing address.

Q. When will I receive my mail piece?

A. UPS Mail Innovations inducts your mail piece into the U.S. Postal Service within 48 hours of processing. The U.S. Postal Service will then deliver the mail piece within three to five days, on average.

 

Q. Why does the Post Office have my UPS Mail Innovations package?

A. UPS Mail Innovations works with the U.S. Postal Service, providing the pick-up, processing, and interim transportation of mail, with final delivery being made by domestic and international postal services.

 

Q. What number do I use to track my mail piece?

A. You can use the Delivery Confirmation Number (only domestic US packages are trackable).

 

Q. Is my package trackable?

A. Yes - Domestic US packages are trackable via UPS MI, however, as with USPS 1st Class Mail International, or Priority Mail International, no tracking is available for packages shipped outside the USA.

While your package is in the hands of UPS MI, you can track your package at http://www.ups-mi.net/packageID/ or www.upsmailinnovations.com.  Just use the Delivery Confirmation number you were provided in the shipping notification email.

 

Q. Why is my tracking information unavailable?

A. UPS Mail Innovations requires up to 48 hours after the piece has been shipped before tracking is available (only for packages shipped within the USA). 

 

Q. What does Manifest (Postage Paid) mean?

A. This means the package was sorted by zip code, the postage was paid, and it is currently being shipped to the appropriate Post Office for the final delivery.

 

Q. Does UPS Mail Innovations deliver to P.O. Boxes, or military address (APO/FPOs/etc)?
